Matt is a man of innovation and drive. He founded Proper Group on the belief that effective property management begins with providing both landlords and tenants equal care and attention. When he isn’t working, he can usually be found at Crossfit, spending time with his wife and two kids, or indulging in a delicious cup of coffee or wine.

It started with a spark
Matt grew up in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, before moving to Australia. After completing two years at Victoria University of Wellington, Matt developed a keen interest in banking. This interest led him to his first banking role and later pursue a career in business and finance.
Recognising opportunities
Over the years of learning and working in the industry, Matt noticed a severe lack of quality property management and service. So with the help of his wife Hanna, he decided to provide the solution by founding PG.
Proactive development
Matt’s passion for property management propels his vision for PG forward. Matt is completing an executive program in residence at Harvard Business School and studying part-time to complete a Viticulture Certificate. Likewise, he ensures the PG team undergoes consistent training and development, so their knowledge and service remain unrivalled.
